Billing

Billing tracks plan state, checkout, portal access, usage, and spend caps.

Overview

Builder Beta is an invite-approved plan with a 14-day no-card trial that continues at $20/month only if the user keeps billing active. The default $0 spend cap means no usage overages, not a free Builder subscription.

Scale/PAYG and Enterprise are coming soon and are not self-serve hosted V2 plans.

Customer portal sessions support payment method updates, invoice history, and cancellation. After cancellation or failed billing is reflected by the billing webhook, existing Builder API keys stop authorizing application calls and capability invocations.

Developer notes

Keep Free access invite-approved and hard-capped.
Use the billing portal for payment-method updates, invoice history, and cancellation.
Disable surprise overages by default.
Block Builder database/resource creation and existing Builder API-key calls when billing is not active or trialing.

Notes:
  project_id is your existing project id.
  plan must be builder for the active paid beta tier.
  Builder resources unlock only after billing is active or trialing.
